Late-Season Foliar Application of Zinc Amino Acid Chelate in ‘Western’ Pecan in New Mexico

– Efficacy of zinc amino acid chelate is compared to zinc sulfate in two fall applications and a negative control. Spring tissue samples were analyzed for zinc concentration. Zinc amino acid applications raised zinc levels statistically significant compared to zinc sulfate and control in dormant bud tissue. Zinc concentration inn middle leaflet of the middle leaf shoot was increased in the zinc amino acid chelated treatment compared to alternative treatments however not statically.
