CALCIUM APPLICATIONS TO DELAY SOFTENING OF KIWI FRUIT 2011-2012

Nov-Dec – Effect of foliar calcium amino acid chelate; magnesium amino acid chelates and boron amino acid complex on the storage quality of kiwi fruit. Tree applications were made starting one week after full bloom a week apart. As storage was extended the firmness and the dry matter readings of the treated fruit improved compared to the control. Additionally, there was less post-harvest in the foliar treated fruit.
