马克·哈尼根(Mark Hanigan)博士,弗吉尼亚理工大学 哈尼根博士的职业生涯始于在西爱荷华州做农场主,然后先后在爱荷华州立大学获得奶业科学学士学位,在加州大学戴维斯分校获得动物科学硕士学位,和在加州大学戴维斯分校获得营养学博士学位。他还在加州大学戴维斯分校完成了生物化学和生物物理学的博士后研究工作。他于1993年入职普瑞纳公司奶业研究组,又于2005年开始任职于弗吉尼亚理工大学奶业科学系。他采用经验和数学模型的方法研究养分代谢,重点是蛋白质和能量代谢。他的长期研究目标是改善动物生产效率并减轻基于动物本身的生产系统对环境的不良影响,同时保持产业活力。他是130多篇经同行审阅的专业论文的作者或联名作者。
