Inside ACOG 2025

The 2025 American College of Obsetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting in Minneapolis brought together leaders in women’s health from across the country. This year, the spotlight was on prenatal nutrition, especially choline. Balchem, along with seven other industry leaders, proudly supported the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) Foundation in an event that highlighted the importance of prenatal supplementation for both mom and baby.

It was a week filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and a shared commitment to improving maternal and infant health. From booth buzz to clinical insights, there’s a lot to reflect on, and even more to build on.

As you read on, discover how this year’s presence helped shape the conversation around prenatal care.

A Stronger Industry Presence Than Ever

This year, eight organizations supported CRN’s efforts. The lineup included:

  • Balchem (VitaCholine®)
  • Church & Dwight (VitaFusion)
  • Nestlé Health Science (Pure Encapsulations)
  • Unilever (Olly/SmartyPants)
  • Niagen Biosciences (TruNiagen)
  • dsm-firmenich (life’sDHA)
  • Kemin (FloraGLO Lutein)
  • OmniActive (Lutemax 2020)

Together, we helped amplify the message that prenatal nutrition, including choline, is essential for maternal and infant health.

Booth Buzz: Hundreds of Visitors and a Lot of Choline Talk

Our booth was a hub of activity, drawing nearly 400 OB/GYNs and healthcare professionals. Each corner of the booth highlighted one of the major CPG brand sponsors

Each brand showcased products featuring ingredients from the suppliers supporting this effort, namely Choline, Minerals, DHA, and Lutein.

Recommending Choline in Pregnancy

One of the event’s standout moments was a Lunch & Learn session led by Dr. Regan Bailey and Alexandra Cowan-Pyle. At the end of the talk, when the audience was askedwhat is one thing from today’s session that you will apply to your practice on Monday?”, the most common response was “recommending choline in pregnancy”.

That kind of real-time feedback shows just how impactful the session was.

This event helped us achieve multiple goals, including raising awareness of the benefits of choline during pregnancy, showcasing Balchem’s leadership in the space, enhancing our relationship with key customers, and creating new opportunities for innovation with leading brands in the industry.

If you’re interested in partnering on future projects, research, education, or scientific initiatives, or if you have any questions about what was discussed at the event, feel free to reach out. We’d love to continue the conversation.
