路·阿曼塔诺(Lou Armentano)博士,威斯康星大学

Dr. Armentano graduated from Cornell University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in animal sciences. He then attended North Carolina State University, studying by-product feeds fed to dairy cows and earning a master’s degree in animal nutrition. He then received his PhD from Iowa State University, where his thesis focused on studying ruminal carbohydrate fermentation and metabolism at the whole-animal level. After completing a brief research project at Virginia Tech, Lu. In 1983, he started working in the Department of Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to teaching for 33 years, he also served as department chair for 8 years. Lu was transferred from full-time professor to emeritus professor in 2016, but is still active in dairy research and promotion work. He currently serves on the committee that compiled the National Institutes of Health Dairy Nutrition Guidelines and is a past president of the American Dairy Science Society (ADSA) and the Federation of Animal Science (FASS).
