KeyShure®

The KeyShure Chelated Mineral line combines superior performance with exceptional value. You get the quality you expect from a world-class manufacturer and the no-frills pricing you need to maximize profitability. The KeyShure line includes the most important minerals, chelated with hydrolyzed protein to improve stability and reduce reactivity with other minerals, vitamins, and nutrients.

Nutritionists often formulate diets with trace mineral levels in excess of the levels recommended by the National Research Council (NRC) to compensate for potential antagonists in feeds that can render trace minerals ineffective. However, feeding higher trace mineral levels can itself negatively affect utilization. Higher trace mineral cost and increasing concern over trace mineral excretion into the environment make this strategy even less attractive. Feeding KeyShure can help overcome the effects of antagonists, thus supporting optimum performance and decreasing mineral excretion into the environment.

Key Advantages of KeyShure

Precision Release Minerals are very high-quality trace minerals designed to deliver the highest level of bioavailable trace mineral at the lowest cost per unit of nutrient delivered to the animal. The key advantages of our Keyshure are:

  • High Bioavailability – Chelation maximizes bioavailability, establishing a protective chemical bond between a mineral and an appropriate organic compound. It is here, at the molecular level, that Balchem’s technology makes the difference
  • Excellent Quality – Balchem uses scientific and manufacturing expertise to maximize the bioavailability of chelated minerals in our products. We keep it simple by focusing on the endpoint – binding minerals to high-quality, plant-protein-derived amino acids
  • Exceptional Value – As a major ingredient supplier, Balchem leverages its purchasing power and efficient manufacturing processes to provide no frills, value-based pricing for an extremely high-quality product. The result is the lowest cost per unit of organically bound (chelated) mineral in the industry.

Ingredient Benefits:

  • Copper is needed by a variety of vital systems in animals. Many enzymes necessary for reproduction, immunity and growth require copper. In addition, copper is necessary for proper metabolism of iron, maintenance of connective tissue, pigmentation of skin and hair, maturation of hoof tissue, and a host of other functions
  • Iron is present in the different forms of heme and the iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster binding protein, which plays an important role in various enzymatic reactions such as aerobic respiration, TCA-cycle function and DNA synthesis as well as oxygen transport and storage
  • Magnesium supplementation improves the digestibility of feed. In cows and sows, it has improved the reproduction and shortened the service period. Magnesium is a key mineral for cows and plays a crucial role in mobilizing calcium from bones and increasing gut absorption. In pre-calving cattle, in particular, access to this calcium is pivotal in ensuring a smooth birthing process. In broilers it increased weight gain, and it has increased egg production of laying hens.
  • Manganese is concentrated in the animal bones. It is an important cofactor for many enzymes involved in energy and protein metabolism. Manganese is also required for mucopolysaccharide synthesis. This is a major component in the organic matrix of bones.
  • Zinc is an essential nutrient for animals, functioning largely or entirely in enzyme systems and being involved in protein synthesis, carbohydrate metabolism, and many other biochemical reactions. A severe zinc deficiency causes numerous pathological changes, including skin parakeratosis, reduced or cessation of growth, general debility, lethargy, and increased susceptibility to infection.
