Balchem Italia, located in Marano Ticino, northern Italy, is Balchem’s regional headquarters serving customers in the EMEA region.

The site started production in 1968 and stands out as the only backward-integrated Choline Chloride manufacturer in Europe, producing a wide range of aqueous and dry grades, including choline specialties for specific applications requiring improved flowability and fineness.

The Bertinoro plant, located in the center of the country, was acquired in 2018 as a European manufacturing platform for the production of encapsulated nutrients. The acquisition reinforces Balchem’s presence in the animal nutrition and health markets, enriching our portfolio with prebiotics and spray-cooling products, manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities.

Both plants have an internal quality and R&D laboratory, allowing for the highest quality standards and for customized solutions that can meet our customers’ specific needs.
