2000 – Evaluation of zinc, manganese and copper amino acid chelates as potential bactericides to control Pierce disease in grapes compared to inorganic forms of the minerals. Results show levels of zinc and manganese amino acids in xylem sap high enough to kill the bacteria in the first of foliar application. Over time however levels drop quickly proving the systemic properties and the bioavailability of amino acid chelates.
