Metalosate Sugar Beet Study

1978 – In this 1978 Sugar beet study Metalosate® foliar fertilizers were used with soil fertility versus the grower’s standard soil fertility with no foliar fertilizers (control). Metalosate® Manganese and Iron were used at planting as a broadcast fertilizer. Metalosate® foliar Manganese, Iron, and Crop-Up® application were made when sugar beets were approximately 8” tall. The application of Metalosate® increased the yield by 7 tons per acre (36% increase) and sugar content 4% (30% increase) over the control. This was done with 140 less units of nitrogen.
