METALOSATE® Nutrition Delivered

All living things, including plants, need 16 minerals to grow effectively. Assuring correct balance of
minerals can be delicate and difficult. Some plant nutrition challenges are common and may be predicted
with the support of research and years of experience. Since Metalosate® products have a long history
of use in hundreds of crops in a variety of climates and regions, Balchem discovered some patterns and
solutions that can promote success in many circumstances. The Metalosate® line contains individual and combinations of minerals that work synergistically within a plant to meet many nutritional needs and enhance
the effects of individuals nutrients.

Movement and Availability

Calcium, copper, zinc, and iron all may be especially unavailable to plants in their natural state. However, minerals supplied utilizing traditional supplementation methods become bound either in the soil or in a leaf’s cuticle. This means that minerals never reach the growing points, where the plants need them most. Metalosate products are complexed and chelated with amino acids, creating very stable bonds. The small molecule size, solubility, and protection by amino acids allow minerals in Metalosate products to move effectively, meaning plants can absorb 90 percent or more of the mineral within two to three hours. This delivers superior bioavailability for maximum growth potential.

Overcoming Challenges - Multimineral

During times of rapid growth or stress, plants need an increase of certain nutrients. Multimineral acts as a phyto-elicitor in plants. This means that applying it before or after a stress event, like extreme heat or drought, can protect the plant, by activating a plant’s natural immune response. Multimineral feeds the plant, so it supports a healthier, more vigorous plant especially during times of stress.

Many plants, like strawberries, peppers, or tomatoes, may be supporting multiple physiological stages at once, from budding to fruit set to harvest. The various processes need different nutrients to support each at different levels. Metalosate Multimineral supports all these stages so the plant can work efficiently.

Convenience

Plant applications contribute significant cost and additional passes can create potential profit loss. Metalosate Multimineral contains seven essential minerals and amino acids that support plant growth. Together these create a synergistic effect within the plant resulting in optimum growth and yield. This means getting more out of your application, without extra passes through the field.

Metalosate is compatible with most other agricultural chemical applications. While competitive products may be incompatible causing a loss in efficacy or efficiency of other agricultural applications Metalosate will not have a negative impact. In fact, Metalosate demonstrated the ability to increase the effectiveness of other products.

A Sustainable Solution

Ninety percent or more of Metalosate penetrates leaves, which means less product on the outside of the leaf to be accidentally rinsed into the soil. Products that are applied to the soil can inadvertently leach into the water table.

Metalosate Multimineral demonstrated increase in yield, pack out, brix and quality. This means contributing more food while using fewer resources.

B
Boron

Plays a crucial role for cell wall synthesis, pollen germination and tube growth, root elongation, plant vigor and shelf life.

Ca
Calcium
Supports cell wall synthesis and integrity, becoming a key component when looking for solutions to increase shelf life, food quality, nutrient profile, and overall yield.
Mg
Magnesium
Contributes to the core of chlorophyll for plant tissue. It also activates enzymes resulting in optimum health, growth, and vigor.
Cu
Copper
Promotes increased efficiency in photosynthesis. Is essential in the activation of many enzymes controlling carbohydrate and nitrogen metabolism.
Fe
Iron
Supports photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis and is a central component of vital enzymes.
Mn
Manganese
Promotes plant growth and development and supports metabolic roles in plants. It is crucial for photosynthesis, and plant hardiness. It also contributes to the production of fats and oils.
Mo
Molybdenum
Regulates enzymes including those effecting nitrogen and converts nitrogen into proteins even in very small amounts.
Zn
Zinc
Creates the foundation for auxins, a key regulator of plant growth and development, including contributing to cell division, elongation, root and stem development.
