2030 ESG Goals
Balchem is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, confirming our support of their Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact Principles is another step in our continuous sustainability journey and achieving our vision of making the world a healthier place. To support the effort in protecting our planet, we have developed goals for both greenhouse gas emissions and water usage reduction by 2030.

EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
Balchem is proud to achieve the bronze status from our first EcoVadis evaluation. EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of sustainability assessments for companies. Their assessment considers 21 sustainability criteria from the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. This rating puts Balchem in the top 47% quartile in our sector.
CDP Disclosure
Balchem has furthered its commitment to environmental transparency by disclosing its environmental impact through CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. Balchem has completed CDP’s 2023 Climate questionnaire. By disclosing through CDP, Balchem is prepared to respond to the increasing demand for environmental transparency from financial institutions, customers, and policymakers. In its disclosure, Balchem shared its progress in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as its efforts to mitigate climate risks across its global operations and is supported by our recent commitment to reduce our absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 25% by 2030 compared to 2020 levels.
